Combination to simplify and improve the customer delivery experience Sensor-to-cloud solutions.

Multi-Tech Systems, Inc., a leading global provider of Internet of Things (IoT) devices, services and solutions, today announced the acquisition of Radio Bridge, a Minnesota-based developer and manufacturer of wireless long-range sensors for the Internet of Things Things (IoT) industry with the wireless standard LoRaWAN®.

By combining Radio Bridge sensors with the industry-leading portfolio of MultiTech IoT and LoRaWAN gateways, OEMs, system integrators and solution providers have a simplified way of developing and deploying new connected solutions.

Together, they provide seamless integration based on an open architecture and a cloud-based management console for the provisioning, monitoring and configuration of sensors and gateways – which shortens time to market, simplifies device management and lowers the total cost of ownership over the life cycle of customer solutions.

“We are excited to add Radio Bridge’s LoRaWAN sensor products to our portfolio and welcome the Radio Bridge team to MultiTech. Radio Bridge has an excellent reputation for rapid innovation and customer support. Together we can further simplify and improve our customers’ experience, ”said Stefan Lindvall, CEO of MultiTech. “As a single supplier, we can bring more parts together to reduce complexity for our customers while accelerating future development to bring new innovations to market.”

“MultiTech has long been a leader in LoRaWAN infrastructure, and because of the robust reliability, intelligence and expandability of its gateway portfolio, MultiTech has always been our first choice for LoRaWAN connectivity,” said Steve Kilts, CEO of Radio Bridge. “We are very pleased to be part of the MultiTech team in order to jointly offer the world’s most comprehensive LoRaWAN-based sensor-to-cloud product portfolio.”

With the acquisition, MultiTech is now able to offer everything from sensors, embedded communication devices, modems and gateways, cloud connectivity and device management services to custom design and application development.

“Radio Bridge fits naturally into our strategy of delivering end-to-end solutions that improve work and life,” said Jack Vresics, Chairman of MultiTech.

“This acquisition is a strategic consolidation of intelligent products and services. The possibility of expanding our offering for existing customers and gaining new users of IoT technology is enormous and continues to grow, as we reduce the friction losses during provisioning by adding additional elements to our product and service portfolio. “
